Unlike some lasers which only work on fair complexions, Venus Viva™ treatments are safe for all skin tones, including darker skin.
First, we’ll apply a topical anesthetic to ensure your comfort (this typically takes 20 minutes to become effective). Next, a special applicator is used to perform the treatment, which takes around 15 to 20 minutes. It is normal to feel a slight warmth and subtle pinprick sensations, but overall our clients report the treatment is fairly comfortable.
Since the micro-wounds created during treatment are so tiny, the treatment is tolerated far better than traditional CO2 lasers. Although Venus Viva is a relatively painless procedure, we do offer a numbing agent to minimise any discomfort. Results can be seen with just one Venus Viva treatment — but optimal results are achieved with several sessions spread out over time. We’ll work closely with you to determine the ideal number and frequency of sessions to ensure the best results.

After treatment, you can expect some mild redness for several days as your body works to repair the microwounds. In most cases, you can return to normal activities without needing any time off.
